Chairman and majority shareholder of Global HR Research, Austin Shanfelter currently serves on the boards of directors of Patriot Risk Management and Orion Marine Group (NYSE: ORN). He is a former board member of the Power and Communication Contractors Association and former board member, chief executive officer and president of MasTec, Inc. (NYSE: MTZ) Mr. Shanfelter has been honored with inductions to the Cable Pioneers as well as the Wrestling Hall of Fame at Lock Haven University, his alma mater, where he contributes his expertise on the Foundations Board. In 2000, Mr. Shanfelter received the Jorge Mas Canosa leadership award and continues to advise a number of nonprofit groups as well as for-profit organizations.
Brandon Phillips developed the concept behind Global HR Research after he recognized the need for better security in corporate human resources. He is responsible developing and implementing corporate growth strategies, managing the overall operations and resources of the company, overseeing sales and marketing strategy, and acts as the main point of communication between the chairman, investors and the corporate operations. Mr. Phillips has guided the growth of numerous projects from planning and development to sustainability. He is a recipient of Gulfshore Business magazine's "Top 40 Under 40" for entrepreneurial successes and has been featured in numerous publications on the subject matter of talent screening and selection. He has lead Global HR Research to a top ranking by HRO Today's Magazine of America's leading background screening and assessment providers. Mr. Phillips, a frequent guest speaker, has a proven track record of successfully maximizing cutting-edge business concepts in start-up ventures and possesses a strong understanding of consumer and investor needs. He has grown Global HR Research to host a client base that includes Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, governmental agencies and health care among others. Mr. Phillips coaches youth basketball, donates time and expertise to nonprofit organizations and is an active member of multiple chambers and economic development organizations.
James Parker brings over 30 years of supervisory and executive leadership in national security and homeland security to Global HR Research.
After graduating from the University of Tampa with a degree in Business Administration, Parker entered the Navy's Aviation Officer Candidate program in Pensacola, Florida. Once he completed his tour in the Navy, Parker served his country as a Special Agent in the Secret Service. His 25-year career of high-profile assignments, both domestic and around the globe, included criminal investigations, background checks on Treasury Department and White House employee candidates, intelligence gathering and risk assessments. He served two sitting presidents and retired after his last assignment as head of the Secret Service office in Fort Myers, Florida.
Parker leveraged his national security experience as a private consultant and a full-time employee for Fortune 100 companies, including Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, specializing in strategic planning, security projects, inspections of US airports for the Transportation Security Administration and international and domestic business development. He was also a member of the Department of Homeland Security’s Headquarters Operational Integration Staff. Today, he manages risk and leads candidate background screening for Global HR Research’s clients worldwide.
Mr. Tonachio has been a leading member of the Global HR Research finance team since January 2010 and has over 30 years of professional finance and accounting experience. Tim is a graduate of the University of Miami, FL School of Business and has served as Corporate Controller and Accounting Manager for four publicly traded as well as four privately held companies. Mr. Tonachio has vast experience in all phases of Accounting including General Accounting (GAAP), Cost Accounting, Financial Control implementation, Financial Statement preparation, analysis, and presentation (including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings and Annual reports). He has managed the parallel implementation of high-level Cost and General ledger accounting systems in a number of companies. Mr. Tonachio has worked in various industries including Energy (Oil & Gas exploration/production), Nuclear (Waste treatment and disposal), and Land Development (Master Planned communities throughout SW Florida and North Carolina).
Andreas Frintrup has helped develop the methodology and science behind Global HR Research's assessment tools. He holds a master's degree in economics, business administration and personnel psychology from the University of Hohenheim, Germany. He also holds a Ph.D. in Achievement Motivation in Sports. Frintrup has counseled hundreds of corporations and organizations in developing psychometric tools for both personnel selection and training/development including AUDI, BMW, CreditSuisse, Commerzbank, Daimler, ThyssenKrupp, Porsche and Volkswagen. He co-authored the Achievement Motivation Inventory (AMI), developed a test that is used with the Swiss military to select the Swiss Olympic Team and co-authored a test on sports-related achievement motivation.
Currently, he acts as CEO at HR Diagnostics and managing director with S&F Personalpsychologie Management Consultants. Within the Global HR Research team, Frintrup is in charge of psychological assessments. He is married with three sons and lives in Germany.
