CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
Shanfelter served as a member of the board of directors of MasTec, Inc., (NYSE: MTZ) a $1 billion publicly traded specialty contractor and special consultant from 2001-2009. Shanfelter served as Chief Executive Officer and President of MasTec from August, 2001, until he retired in March, 2007. Prior to his CEO/president role, he held the positions of COO and group president with MasTec. Shanfelter also serves as a member of the board of directors of Orion Marine Group (NASDAQ; OMGI), a publicly traded marine construction firm. Shanfelter serves on the Lock Haven University Foundations Board and the board of directors of the Power and Communications Contractors Associations. Shanfelter has been honored with inductions to the cable pioneers and the Lock Haven University wrestling hall of fame. In 2000, Shanfelter received the Jorge Mas Canosa leadership award. He continues to advise a number of for-profit and nonprofit groups and companies.
